Responsibilities:
- Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients (vegetables, meats, etc.).
- Measure and portion ingredients according to recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations.
- Store food properly and follow food safety regulations.
- Assist with basic cooking tasks as needed.
- Dispose of kitchen waste and sanitize surfaces.
- Support chefs and line cooks to ensure smooth service.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Certificate in culinary arts or related field.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of restaurant best practices.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Aptitude for multi-tasking.
- Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing.
- Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
